Water-Fed Pole
For buildings five stories and under, the best window cleaning happens from the sidewalk.

What's Included

Water-fed pole cleaning is done entirely from the ground. A telescopic pole carries a brush head and a feed line to the glass, while purified water runs continuously through the brush — no ladders, no rigging, nobody leaving the ground.

The water is the method. It's run through a multi-stage purification process (carbon, reverse osmosis, and deionization) until every dissolved mineral is stripped out. Brushed onto the glass and rinsed, that pure water dries on its own with no spotting and no squeegee — because there's nothing left in the water to leave a mark.

Crews are trained and supervised, and every job starts with a quick assessment of reach, water access, and ground conditions.

Is Water-Fed Pole Right for Your Building?

Water-fed pole is the right call for low-rise, flat-faced buildings. It's a strong fit when your building has:

  • Five stories or fewer — this is the practical reach limit for the method
  • Flat-face glass — storefronts, punched windows, and simple curtain wall
  • Accessible ground around the building for the crew to work from
  • Exterior glass only — water runs constantly, so this is an outside-the-building method

It's not the right fit for deep-set windows, heavily framed or recessed glass, or anything above five stories — the pole can't reach cleanly into deep insets, and beyond five stories you want rope access or swing stage instead.

Maintenance Cadence

For most low-rise buildings, we recommend quarterly to biannual service depending on exposure, traffic, and how quickly the glass picks up dust and hard water. Water-fed pole is fast and low-impact, which makes it well-suited to frequent, routine maintenance. We'll set a cadence after the site walk.

Capabilities

Water-fed pole covers routine exterior cleaning on low-rise buildings:

  • Standard glass cleaning on flat storefronts and punched-window facades up to five stories
  • Frame and sill cleaning within reach of the pole
  • Frequent maintenance programs — fast setup makes recurring service efficient
  • Spot-free finish with no detergents and no squeegee marks, from purified water alone

For taller buildings, deep-inset glass, or restoration work, we move to rope access or swing stage.

Benefits

Compared to ladders, lifts, or traditional pole work, water-fed pole offers:

  • Maximum safety — the crew stays on the ground, eliminating fall risk entirely
  • Fast setup and teardown — no rigging, no equipment to mobilize, minimal site disruption
  • Spot-free results — purified water dries clean with no streaking or mineral residue
  • Low cost on the right buildings — for flat, low-rise glass, it's often the most efficient method available
  • No detergents — pure water alone, which is gentler on frames, seals, and landscaping below

Water-fed pole isn't right for every building — it's a low-rise, flat-glass method. But for the buildings it fits, nothing is faster, safer, or cleaner.
